Monday afternoon:
Several day trades in the ES (winners) and one in the NQ (loser). Traded both sides in the ES futures, and the net effect is about even on the day. I came in flat over the weekend, so today has basicaly been a non-event. Sometimes these type days will test a trader the most, as it seems that everybody is happy and making huge money again. :) Simply focus on yourself, your system, and your discipline, then relax. Many of today's cheerleaders are "investors" that have poor risk control, and as such, are "getting back" what they have already lost. In any case, it is not our situation, so on with the next trade.It is going to get very interesting over the next couple months (as if it hasn't already!), as redemptions, quarterly results, and margin calls combined with the credit crisis start to expose the naked among us. Play tight and focused, and good luck.I'll be FLAT overnight, once again. Excluding today, the intra-day moves have been monstrous, so let's contain our risk.Trading accounts equity less than .5% from all time highs set on 10/10/08. (includes open positions)
