Wednesday afternoon:
After having technical issues, we're up and running again (we hope). Glad I stepped aside all morning, but eventually I took a long side trade in the NQ futures, just before our computers quit working. I wasn't even able to get into accounts on other computers, and when this happens, I typically close out all positions that are not longer term holds. The trade was mildly profitable, but that was just luck, as it could have gone anywhere, and especially since it was a "counter-trend" idea.
Next, I was able to short the "mini-spike" at 1pm in the ES's, covering a bit too soon, but still a nice trade. For right now, the short side is the place to stay, and that will be my focus the rest of the day. I'm reticent about taking my typical size, because of the technical problems. All in all, made few bucks today, but feel I could have done better.
